Charleston, SC – Disco balls glittered and drinks were free-flowin’ under the tent at Marion Square during the Emerging Local Designers Fashion night in Charleston. The week long fashion affair ended with a show featuring 6 local fashionistas on Friday night. Lauren and I had the excitement of attending this event to support our friend Carol Hannah Whitfield. Carol Hannah designed both our bridesmaid’s dresses for our weddings, and enamored with her work, we just had to see it on display in Charleston. It did not disappoint! All of the 6 designers were worth seeing, with some designs more in line with my taste than others, but Carol Hannah definitely stole the show, and also had a lot of supportive nods and positive clapping from Project Runway star Jillian (sp?) who was also in attendance. That’s right, we were chillin’ with celebs, and even hung out back stage with Jillian, where Lauren said “Hi” to her.
